Dr. Mirjalili graduated with her DDS in 2006 and pursued her growing interest in the medical science behind dentistry by completing a three-year residency in Oral Medicine at Tehran University in 2009. During her residency, she gained extensive experience treating medically complex patients, participated in hospital rotations, conducted research, and taught undergraduate and postgraduate students. This formative period also sparked her interest in community-based oral health, including treating patients suffering from xerostomia, which later became a focus of her research on saliva and systemic health.
